Welcoming staff and excellent food made for a pleasant experience, despite the wait times and the slight saltiness of the chips. The warm environment and beautiful river location add to the charm. I hope they improve on their service efficiency for a better overall dining experience.

This place suits me perfectly with free wi-fi, a bar/lounge, and delicious meals. The staff helped me find local shops on my first stay, which I still remember. I highly recommend it. I'm coming back for Christmas!

Highly recommend for family gatherings
The staff were brilliant and made us feel at home, especially during breakfast when they ensured we had everything we needed. The huge beer garden was perfect for us to relax and enjoy the sun with our family while sipping on some local ales.
It wasn't cheap but definitely acceptable for what we got.

we really enjoyed our stay at the trout. the rooms are very cosy and the food was just exceptional. breakfast was excellent and tons to choose from. perfect place if ur looking for a quiet and comfy stay with great food. plus, its only a short distance from all the prettiest cotswolds villages.
only complaint was the pillows were quite lumpy and the shower could use a handheld option.

The cocktails were incredible, particularly the tulips gaze, which was a delight. The spacious executive suite provided an excellent atmosphere for relaxation and enjoying the private terrace in the evening.
Some small details in the room could have been improved.

The room was spacious and comfortable with direct access to a beautiful courtyard The breakfast featured fresh ingredients and the coffee was exceptional
The access via the courtyard made it feel a bit disconnected from the main hotel areas

missingWrote a review on May 17garden areacotswold charactercleanliness issues
Beautiful garden area by the river, perfect for enjoying a drink while soaking up the scenery. The traditional Cotswold stone architecture adds a charming character that enhances the overall experience.
Check-in stumbled with a crashing payment system, which was a frustrating start. The room was stylish but suffered from cleanliness issues like dust and cobwebs. it's disheartening to find hair in the freestanding tub. Breakfast service began late at 8:30, which was inconvenient for early plans, though the food tasted great. Having to ask for basic items like juice felt off and diminished the dining experience.

The stay was quite enjoyable overall, especially the beautiful surroundings and the exceptional service at breakfast. we had a bit of a hiccup with our dinner reservation, which was not recorded when we checked in, leading to some confusion. The staff was friendly, but the communication could have been better, particularly when we were left waiting for a while at dinner. Despite that, the room was comfortable and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing getaway.
